Fall transition

Hi there! I hope you are having a great week. Now that the weather has cooled down a bit, my wardrobe is officially in transition mode. This means I’m leaving the house every morning with a light jacket and scarf and I am no longer baring my legs…tights season here I come!

dsc_8150-editToday’s outfit is one of my favorite fall transition looks. In my opinion, you can never have too many pencil skirts. This skirt is from Marc by Marc Jacobs, and I purchased it a few years back. I immediately fell in love with the exposed zippers…I think it’s a fun twist on a wardrobe classic.

dsc_8179If you are thinking that the red top is a long-sleeve tee, I’m about to prove you wrong! It’s actually a bodysuit from Wolford. I’ve had it for a few years now, and I absolutely love it! Bodysuits have been popular recently, and I can see why. This one is so comfortable, and it’s great with skirts because there isn’t any extra fabric or bunching to worry about.

dsc_8157Since the top is simple, I’m able to jazz it up with a statement necklace. This gold layered necklace is borrowed from my mom…she has the best taste!

dsc_8175The fishnet tights are also from Wolford. I’ve talked about Wolford before on the blog, but I’ll give them a little shout out here too. They seriously make the best tights and basics, like my bodysuit. I’ll admit the price tag may be steep, but the quality is top notch and their stuff lasts. If you have never tried the brand before, I highly suggest giving them a try.

dsc_8148-editSince it’s now fall, I dug my booties out of my closet. These black booties are from Vince Camuto and they are so comfortable! I bought them a few years back but the style hasn’t changed, so they’ll remain a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe!
