Summer Style

Little red door

Hi everyone! Congrats on making it to the middle of the week…only a few more days to go! Today I’m sharing a casual look that I wore last weekend. Not sure about you, but I’m getting to the point that I’m tired of wearing summer clothes (I get this feeling around this time every year). So, I’ve taken advantage of theΒ slightly cooler temps and have put jeans back on…my how I have missed them!

DSC_7638I love the simplicity of this look. The blouse is from Rebecca Taylor. I scooped it up last summer on sale and I’m so glad I did! What’s great about it is that you can wear it like I’ve shown here, or off the shoulder, which has been a major trend this year. So, I can change it up which is nice. The blouse is a bit sheer. For the weekend it’s totally fine, but when I’m wearing it at work I’ll throw on a neutral camisole.

DSC_7680The green skinny jeans are one of my favorite pairs of jeans in my closet…that’s no small feat! I own lots of jeans πŸ™‚ I pretty much only wear skinny jeans and these are supper skinny which I love. They’re actually called the legging ankle. I like having colored jeans to change things up a bit. I love the green, and it’s a hue I can wear year round.

Since the top is flowy and has a lot of style on its own, I decided to keep the necklace fairly simple. Today I’m wearing a Chanel necklace that I got for my birthday a few years back. What’s cool about this necklace (besides the obvious Chanel factor) is that you can wear it two ways. The first is long, as shown here. Or, you can also wear it short which is great for tops with a lower neckline.

DSC_7641I am super excited to show off these shoes. They’re my Loeffler Randall lace up flats…the lace up trend has been big over the past year. I bought these shoes last August, and I was obsessed with owning them. Full disclosure– there was a long break-in period. Not sure if you’ve ever experienced this, but pumps aren’t the only shoes that can be uncomfortable! After trial and error, I realized the key with these flats is to wear them with peds. It’s made such a big difference so I’ll now be wearing them on the regular.

DSC_7658I absolutely love the look of these flats. They remind me of my ballet days and they go with so much…pants, skirts, dresses…you name it. Something tells me you’ll be seeing them pretty frequently on the blog πŸ™‚

Once again, I’m using my Dior bag…I decided to stick with the black theme. Plus, we went to the movies on Saturday so I needed a bag big enough for my water bottle and snacks πŸ™‚

DSC_7630I may have mentioned this before, but I live on repetition so I’ll say it again…in terms of bracelets, I keep my left hand the same pretty much every day. I change up the right side depending on the outfit. Since today’s outfit has green, I decided to pair it with my Alexis Bittar lucite stone bangles. I love the look of these bangles and I think they go perfectly with the outfit.

DSC_7649I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!
